Our Work
The major focus of our work is to develop a Samaritan spirit that breaks the victim mentality.

How We Work

EDUCATION
One of the highest priorities of Good Samaritan Ministries Uganda is to provide quality education for children who are in danger of being abandoned without necessary education and or necesary skills to provide for their living.
This helps children become lifelong learners, improve their communities, and live their full God given potential.
Through Good Samaritan Schools, Primary and High, and other governement school, We provide a wholistic education.
COUNSELLING
Walking beside the broken and wounded of this world and those moving from victim-hood to health, from bondage to freedom.
Our counsellors provide their services based upon a foundation of unconditional love and acceptance. Counselling may address both the symptoms of client concern, as well as deeper healing of emotional wounds. Good Samaritan Ministries Uganda offers free counselling services to all.

TEACHING AND TRAINING
We train and equip community leaders especially in our centers with tools to help them give their clients the necessary help they need emotionally and spiritually.
We train counsellors, Pastors, children care givers, sunday school teachers and everyone interested in helping others emotionally
ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
Through our economic empowerment program we empower communities and guide them to set their own goals and equip them so that progress made is sustained, and continued.
By economically supporting communities, we promote self-sustainancy and inclusiveness. Through GOGO, TEME, MEF, and other Agricultural programs We help fight and end extreme poverty and allow people reach their full God given potential.

SENIOR CITIZENS
Good Samaritan Ministries runs a number of elderly care programs in different centers in the country. These programs include;
-
Elderly care visitation program.
-
Economic support for the Elderly that support and leave with grand children.
-
Clothing, feeding and other support for the elderly
-
Covid-19 Elderly support.
YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
Good Samaritan Ministries runs youth empowerment and skilling programs. These skills are meant to empower young people to be economically independent. In the slums we train jobless youth in programs baking, making snacks, marketing, tailoring and more.
The unemployement rates in young people are high, learning skills that will help youth become self employed is very important. This reduces crime levels and drug abuse in communities.
